about

This is a song that took me something like 13 years to complete! I started writing the main structure of it when I was taking classical guitar lessons in my final years of school. My guitar teacher introduced two new chords to me (the first two of the chorus) and the next thing you know I was writing this. I picked it up again when myself and Craig were looking for material to play in sessions in Glasgow around 2003 when we were starting out performing. By then the things/people I was singing about had changed but the sentiment still felt strong.
